Captain America debuted 82 years ago this March, and to celebrate we're reading Captain America: Evolution Of A Legend, a retrospection of stories spanning Cap's 80 year history. We'll read stories from 1941, to his battles with Communism in the 1950's, to his resurrections in the 1960's, through his disillusionment of the 1970's and his constant redefinition from the 80's to current time. Hundreds of artists and writers contributed their stories throughout that time, this trade paperback picks the best of those tales and combines them into a multi-generational examination of who Cap is and what he means to readers.
