After a difficult and hazardous journey, Maki and Shota finally reach Tokyo Dome, the largest refugee camp in the Kanto region and one of the few remaining havens in a world overrun by the zombie outbreak. Maki, carrying the last remaining doses of the vaccine developed at Gunma pharmaceutical center where she awoke in the first volume, is taken in by the powerful structure within the Dome. Here, a small group of privileged individuals, led by Colonel Shimamoto, reside in luxury while the majority of survivors struggle to survive in deplorable conditions. Shota and Miura are thrown into the harsh daily lives of non-privileged survivors. Miura is assigned to a work team while Shota befriends the leader of a group of children who claim to know the whereabouts of her father.
