Star Wars #5 is the fifth edition of the awesome Star Wars comic book series. This one is by Roy Thomas, with drawings by the amazing Howard Chaykin, and it was first released by Marvel Comics on August 10, 1977. With the tale of "Lo, the Moons of Yavin!," it brings scenes from the movie Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope to life.

Join Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Princess Leia Organa as they escape the clutches of the Death Star and make their way to the Rebel base on the moon Yavin 4. Once there, they hand over R2-D2 to the Rebels, who utilize the valuable intel he possesses to devise a plan to obliterate the Death Star. Meanwhile, the Death Star is on a relentless pursuit of the Millennium Falcon, which has found refuge at the Rebel base. In a frenzy, the Rebels dispatch their pilots on a daring mission to take down the Death Star. Amidst the chaos, Luke reunites with his dear pal Biggs Darklighter and together, they embark on a thrilling journey into the vastness of space.
