ST. LOUIS, MO - For the past 85 years, from his blue uniform to his flowing red cape to the “S” shield on his chest, Superman has been one of the most immediately recognizable and beloved superheroes. The Man of Steel is the ultimate symbol of truth, justice, and hope. April 18th marks the landmark debut of the Man of Steel in Action Comics #1, and two St. Louis institutions are joining forces to commemorate the event with a special screening of 1978's Superman - the film that made you believe a man could fly.

Cinema St. Louis and Apotheosis Comics are celebrating the 85th anniversary of Superman, the greatest superhero in pop culture history with a screening to be held on Tuesday April 18 at 7 PM at the Hi-Pointe Theater. Apotheosis Comics will have free Superman stickers and comics available for fans as well. “This will be a great opportunity for all Superman fans to celebrate the legacy of the hero.” says Martin Casas, owner of Apotheosis Comics.
